Centric Consulting leaders recently shared strategic insights on how organizations can not only survive but thrive amid economic uncertainty.
The Columbus Business First article, “Three Pillars for Building Business Resiliency in an Uncertain Economy,” focuses on technology modernization, change management, and bringing in specialized expertise to cover skills gaps.
Joseph Ours, AI solutions director, emphasized the transformative role of AI in technology modernization. “AI is a way to supercharge your technology,” he said. “It’s a way to modernize your technology at speed and scale like we’ve not seen before.” He urged business leaders not to delay modernization, noting that those who do risk being at a competitive disadvantage.
Kerry Snyder, account manager with Centric’s Columbus team, said it’s time for leaders to start thinking about organizational change management as it relates to business readiness. “If companies are not planning for the people part of a technology modernization, they’re not going to see the expected results,” Snyder said. “They have to plan and invest in technology, but they also have to plan and invest in people and managing change technology brings.”
Organizational leaders also must recognize that not all modernization efforts can be done in-house. “Create an internal and external escalation support model to determine what level of support you can handle internally, where you will work on expanding your teams’ skills, and what issues require a more experienced partner’s help,” advised Larry English, Centric’s CEO. “Then enlist an expert to help with IT skills gap challenges, even if it’s from outside your organization.”
